Jeremy DeVos UX Designer
My work and personal life are centered on breaking barriers. As a passionate graphic designer and now UX designer, I merge creativity and strategic vision to meet my clients’ needs. I have accumulated 10 years of experience in delivering creative and impactful designs for a diverse range of clients.
I live with a neurological illness that could have challenged my ambitions, but I have worked deliberately to find solutions and create best practices that allow me to strive in my field. I first found my passion for creative design when I earned an internship at an art auction business. In this environment, surrounded by creative minds, I found that I thrived. I learned how to merge creative endeavors with profitability. I learned what it meant to compete in a surprisingly fast-moving market. This inspired me to earn a degree in graphic design at Kendall Art Institute, graduating in 2010.
From there I concentrated on freelance graphic design. I’ve worked with a variety of clients from Michigan school systems to footwear companies in California. Throughout my freelance journey, I have honed my expertise in logo design, branding, and creating visually engaging content for digital and print media that resonated with target audiences. These 10 years of practicing professional design have taught me how to expertly balance the creative and strategic aspects of my craft. I take pride in cultivating long-term partnerships with clients, and many have returned for years of project work and ongoing contracts, showcasing their satisfaction with my work.
My passion lies in being solution focused and experiencing that “eureka” moment that brings everything together. My design approach involves collaborating closely with clients to understand their vision and target audience. I then leverage my creativity and research skills to craft designs that not only meet their expectations but also exceed them. Every project is a learning opportunity, and every lesson expands my scope of this industry.
I've embraced new design trends and technologies, most recently completing a UX designer course, ensuring that my work remains fresh, relevant, and aligned with the latest industry standards. I’m eager to continue my journey as a UX designer utilizing my experience in graphic design and user research to bring meaningful and visually striking designs to my future clients or employer.
